PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a counterweight mounting and demounting device, the mounting and demounting works of which are also facilitated and which utilizes a hydraulic cylinder at a low cost. SOLUTION: A counterweight is composed of a plurality of upper and lower blocks, hydraulic cylinders expanding and contracting distances among the blocks are installed, and fixing means freely mounted and demounted to and from the blocks are mounted and fixing means detachably fixing the counterweight to counterweight fixing sections are secured.
