The invention concerns a gateway for providing network communication between members of an improvised community or spontaneous community with an element using Internet communication protocols, and/or WAP or i-mode communication protocol, and/or SMS communication protocol and/or voice communication protocol. The invention concerns a device acting as gateway (2) enabling an element corresponding to one of the following communication protocols, namely: Internet (3), WAP or i-mode (4), SMS (5), voice mode (6), and whereof the particular characteristics do provide it with access as member of the spontaneous communicating community, to be still able to exchange data and instructions as full-fledged member with the members specific to said community. The inventive device is particularly designed to provide networking to heterogeneous elements and enable them to communicate with one another. It is applicable to industry, house automation, telecommunications, information engineering.
