CONTINUOUS ROLL TAPE DISPENSER

An apparatus for continuously dispensing tape from a plurality of rolls thereof includes a turret rotatably mounted on a frame. The turret carries a plurali ty of spindles which are indexed sequentially with the turret from a roll loading position to roll dispensing and then to a roll splicing position. Tape being removed fro m a spindle passes around a peel roller, a peel idler roller and a floating danc er roller to a payout roller for discharge from the apparatus. The dancer roller maintain s a predetermined tension on the tape. If the tension on the tape drops below su ch limit, a brake slows down the peel roller to cause the tension to be restore d to a level above such limit.
