A cap for bottles of compressed gas, containing two interconnected half shells, an inner cavity to accommodate the bottle valve, at least one lateral opening and an opening on the face of the bottle top, and a device for fastening it to the bottle of compressed gas. The cap can be mounted on a closed compressed gas bottle without having to remove the connections from the bottle of compressed gas. The cap can have a support device and a hooking device.
