PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of recording information to an optical disk always on a stable and optimal recording condition while using a CAV system capable of improving recording speed compared with the case of a CLV system. SOLUTION: The recording speed is improved by rotate-driving (S7) the optical disk with a prescribed number of revolution basically in accordance with the CAV system in recording. In this case, with respect to a value θ regulating a pulse width set in the beginning in accordance with the CLV system, a power ratio ΔP and an optimal recording power Pwo decided by OPC, a value θ(v) regulating a recording pulse width in accordance with the change of the linear velocity (v) in recording, a power ratio ΔP(v) and an optimal recording power Pwo(v) are calculated at any time (S8). Then, recording is performed while controlling the light-emitting waveform of a light source on the basis of its arithmetic result (S9). Thereby recording of the information on an always stable recording condition in which the linear velocity in recording is varied becomes possible. |
