<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of preventing the intrusion of the chips to be generated when machining a piston into a hollow part through an opening of a hollow piston. SOLUTION: A hollow piston is formed by continuously forming a head part to be housed in a cylinder bore and an engagement part to be connected to a cam plate, and the head part is formed into the hollow structure having an opening. An air curtain is formed near the opening of the piston. A tip of an air nozzle 65 is inserted into each opening of a raw material fixed by a clamp mechanism, and the necessary air is blown through the air nozzle 65. With this structure, the hollow inside is maintained at a high pressure, and the air is blown out through the opening. The air curtain is formed outside of each opening so as to prevent the intrusion of the coolant and the chips generated when working into the hollow inside part through the opening.</p> |
