PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-tension variable resistor, in which an inserting hole orthogonal to an inserting groove is formed at an accurate position while defective insertion due to burr is overcome and which can be inserted at a fixed position at all times. SOLUTION: The high-tension variable resistor has a circuit section 23 incorporated into an insulating case 11, the snap-in terminal 32 inserted into a terminal base section 13 for the case 11 and connected to an output section for the circuit section 23, and a connecting electrode 33 for an output inserted to the terminal base section 13 from the orthogonal direction to the snap-in terminal 32 and pressed-in and connected to the snap-in terminal 32. The inserting groove 14, into which the snap-in terminal 32 is inserted and which guides the terminal 32, the inserting hole 15, into which the connecting electrode 33 is inserted and which guides the connecting electrode, and a clearance groove 16 to the side face of the inserting groove 14 orthogonal to the inserting hole 15 are formed to the terminal base section 13 for the case 11, and the inserting groove 14, the clearance groove 16 and the inserting hole 15 are molded simultaneously by a molding die having a faucet structure.
