A redundant hydraulic actuator having two hydraulic cylinders, each having a body and a rod having a piston sliding in sealed manner in the body, and wherein the bodies of the two cylinders are connected rigidly to a first connecting member of the actuator, and the rods of the cylinders are connected rigidly to a second connecting member of the actuator; the bodies of the two cylinders being coaxial with each other and inserted one inside the other.
