PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory camera system that can solve problems that each supervisory camera requires its installed place and cable installation and a video circuit of the supervisory device is complicated because the supervisory cameras are asynchronously with each other, with respect to a conventional supervisory camera system that uses a supervisory device to select any of video signals of monitor cameras or to apply multi-screen division to the video signals for monitor display or to select them in time series and record/reproduce them for similar monitor display. SOLUTION: A supervisory camera of a common box configuration is provided with image pickup sections each provided with a lens and an image pickup element on the basis of its optical axis whose optical axis angle is variable. Video signals by the respective image pickup sections synchronously with each other are switched in time series, transmitted through a couple of cables and given to the supervisory device, where the video signals are displayed on a monitor through selection or multi-screen division or the time series input video signals are recorded/reproduced for similar monitor display.
