PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition without using a halogen flame retardant. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition consists of a thermoplastic resin and a flame retardant auxiliary consisting of a phosphorus- containing compound (A), an aromatic resin (B) and a nitrogen-containing compound and/or a metal salt of an inorganic acid (C). The nitrogen-containing compound is a salt between an amino group-containing triazine compound and an oxygen acid (polyphosphoric acid, organophosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, boric acid, etc.), a salt between an amino group-containing triazine compound and a hydroxyl group-containing triazine compound, an amide polyphosphate, cyclic ureas, etc., and the metal salt of an inorganic acid is a salt between an oxygen acid (phosphoric acid, boric acid, etc.), and a polyvalent metal.
