METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONFIRMING AND CORRECTING CHARACTER RECOGNITION RESULT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for confirming and correcting character recognition results with which a user can easily confirm which part of an OCR paper image a confirmation and correction object character corresponds to even though the user does not have a too expensive character recognizing device, and a device for performing the method. SOLUTION: This method for confirming and correcting character recognition results of optical character reader(OCR) paper has a process in which character recognition result information and OCR paper image information are received and stored in a recognition result storing part and an image storing part respectively, a process in which character coordinates in the OCR paper image information which correspond to a recognition object character or a confirmation and correction object character is detected and added to the character recognition result information, a process in which the confirmation and correction object character is extracted from the character recognition result information, and a process in which the confirmation and correction object character is made to link with a character image in the OCR paper image information existing at the character coordinates corresponding to the confirmation and correction object character and displayed.
