METHOD FOR EVALUATING HOLOGRAM COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate color reproducibility with respect to a single a hologram color filter constituting a spatial optical modulator. SOLUTION: A color separation filter which comprises opening slits with planar arrangement corresponding to pixel electrodes of a liquid crystal panel is arranged on the same plane as that of the designed focal point of the pixel hologram color filter. The evaluation of the color reproducibility of colored light passing through the opening slits is carried out with the color separation filter kept in a state capable of adjustment in moving inside the same plane.
