PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional digital broadcast receiver that has difficulties of indication of an accurate C/N of a signal received by a reception antenna because the C/N includes the deterioration in the C/N in a signal path in the receiver since the C/N is calculated by a digital demodulation circuit and of installation of the antenna by antenna installation personnel while observing a level indication in the case of employing the level indication for the installation of the reception antenna in an optimum direction. SOLUTION: A fixed deterioration component in the C/N caused in a signal path from the reception antenna to a digital demodulation circuit 1 and measured in advance is added to the C/N obtained by the digital demodulation circuit 1 so that the accurate C/N of the signal received by the reception antenna can be indicated. Furthermore, even when the antenna installation personnel are located apart from the receiver and a monitor, a voice output is changed in response to the measured C/N value so that the personnel can optimally install the antenna.
