PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a shutter device in such a way as being suitable for high speed actuation by keeping actuation resistance and inertia small while securing the superposed amount of blades for shielding light without complicating the structure of a blade unit. SOLUTION: This shutter device is provided with a base plate where a shutter aperture is formed, 1st and 2nd arm members turnably supported on the base plate, and a plurality of shutter blades supported by the 1st and the 2nd arm members. A plurality of connection parts to be connected with the shutter blades are formed on the 1st and the 2nd arm members. The connection parts of the 1st and the 2nd arm members are arranged so that one of the connection parts formed on the 2nd arm member may be positioned between the connection part formed on the 1st arm member and the turning center of the 1st arm member when the shutter blades open the shutter aperture.
