PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having excellent polarizing performance without causing any discoloration even after being subjected to high temperature and high humidity environment. SOLUTION: The optical film has a layer of a transparent resin film containing a chlorine containing copolymer containing at least one or more kinds of chlorine containing vinyl monomers and one or more kinds of polymerizable ethylenic unsaturated monomers as the monomers and having >=0.05 μm and <=1 μm dry film thickness.
