PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor control apparatus in an optical apparatus whose operating sound is reduced, by controlling current to be supplied to a stepping motor according to its acceleration, and causing the motor to develop proper torque. SOLUTION: The CPU 40 of a universal head 10 gives clock pulses to a driver 42 in accordance with the rotational speed of the stepping motor 44, and gives directions of a current value to a constant current setting circuit 46 in accordance with each state, depending on which of a constant speed, acceleration and deceleration, and standstill, the state of rotation of the stepping motor 44 is. The setting circuit 46 limits current to be supplied from the driver 42 to the stepping motor 44, by the current value given from the CPU 40. |
