PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television broadcast receiver that can easily confirm other program broadcast in the same broadcast time band as that of a program tentatively selected by a user from a retrieval result menu screen. SOLUTION: The digital television broadcast receiver is provided with a retrieval means that retrieves a program in response to a program retrieval request from a user and displays a retrieval result menu screen consisting of a list of retrieval object programs, an entry means that allows the user to tentatively select a program desired by the user from the program list displayed on the retrieval result menu screen, and a program guide display means that sets a program guide display time so as to display other program broadcast for the broadcast time band the same as that of the tentatively selected program together with the program that is tentatively selected when the user tentatively selects the program guide and the user enters a program guide display command and displays the program guide.
