The invention concerns a method for extending PDF 417 bar code data coding capacities comprising a first data compression step, the data being read by an acquisition equipment linked to a reading equipment connected to an information system. It consists in distributing the data by means of specific algorithms into a series of dynamically related symbols and in controlling data formatting and reading directly from the information system.
