A laser system includes an optically-pumped semiconductor laser OPS-laser and an optical fiber. Output radiation from the OPS laser is coupled into an input end of an optical fiber for transporting the output radiation to a delivery location. The OPS-laser includes an optical arrangement for minimizing mode-noise resulting from feedback into the OPS laser of a portion of the radiation which is reflected from an output end of the optical fiber.
