Fastening device for shock-absorbing knob or bumper uses grub screw to fasten sleeve attached to knob onto pin projecting from profile frame

The bumper (14) may be spherical, and is fastened to a sleeve (13) which fits concentrically over a pin (1) attached to a profile frame (10). A first grub screw (15) passes through a threaded bore in the side of the sleeve into a blind bore in the pin. The pin has a broad foot (2) which stands on the surface of the frame and straddles a hole in it. The head of a countersunk screw (3) engages the end of the pin, while the threaded shank passes through a central bore in the pin and engages a threaded bore in a clamping plate which engages inside the frame. A second grub screw (5) passes through a threaded off-center bore in the clamping plate and engages in a detent in the bottom of the foot.
