The switch has a switch contact device (12,13), a replaceable release block (7), for opening of the switch contacts and a locking element (26), preventing the removal of the release block unless the locking element is moved into a released position. The locking element has a first surface (38) cooperating with the release block for preventing its removal and a second surface (40) holding the locking element in its locking position when the switch contacts are closed.
