The container (10) has a holder (18), which is moved within the container by a drive element and a continuous belt (15). The holder is coupled to the belt so as to be detachable and so that it is always in the same position relative to the vertical. The belt, chain etc. is coupled to a programmable belt drive. A housing (12) around the container has a device with grabs (22) to move the holder to a removal opening (24). The holder has an identification device, and the housing contains a heater or a cooling device. The container can slide between boot space and passenger area.
