The invention concerns an electric motor, in particular a gear motor for activating vehicle functional equipment items, comprising a rotor shaft (1) provided with a commutator (2) co-operating with conductive brushes (3) arranged in brush holders (4) fixed to a printed circuit board (5); said motor is provided with means for mounting the brush holders only at the surface of the printed circuit board. Said means may include for each brush (3) a metal housing (6) containing the brush and whereof the wall (6) comprises a transverse pin (11) adapted to pass through the printed circuit board so as to position and maintain the housing on the board, and to provide an electrical connection. The invention enables to assemble brush holders exclusively at the surface of the printed circuit board, thereby not requiring an additional operation for flow soldering as in prior art.
