The claimed device for removing liquid from the surface (O', 0") of a band (B) conveyed out of a band processing machine, in particular a rolling machine by means of a gas jet (G1, G4, G5, Gzl, Gzr, G12-G18, G17', G18'), said device having an outlet nozzle (2, 4, 5, 12-19), from which the gas jet (G1, G4, G5, Gzl, Grz, G12-G18, G17', G18') emerges, and a suction aperture (8a), via which the gas jet (G1, G4, G5, Gzl, Grz, G12-G18, G17', G18') mixed with the liquid can be suctioned off, enables the surface of the band to be adequately cleaned over the entire breadth thereof. This is achieved by the gas jet (G1, G4, G5, Gzl, Grz, G12-G18, G17', G18') being conveyed over the band (B) in a stream (S, S2) directed towards at least one of the lateral edges (R) of the band (B), and by the lateral edge (R) of the band (B) towards which the stream (S, S2) is directed being provided with a suction aperture (8a). |
