<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift-by-wire type shift device with heightened theft preventiveness of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A magnet 21 is disposed at the lower part of a lever body supported in a manually operative manner, and a base 27 is provided below. A plurality of magnetic detecting elements for detecting the displacement position of the lever body and outputting shift position signals corresponding to the displacement positions, and an immobile ECU for determining whether or not a user is a legal user, are provided on the base 27. In the case the immobile ECU determines that the user is the legal user, a motor 76 is driven to shunt a shutter plate 73 from the base 27 to validate the detection of the magnetic detecting elements. In the case of determining that the user is not the legal user, the shutter plate 73 is disposed to cover the base 27 to thereby invalidate the detection of the magnetic detecting elements.</p> |
