<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of discharging processing shavings out of the machine with a relatively easy operation, the shavings having been taken out of a processing area to an operating area. SOLUTION: The machine tool comprises a bed 51, a column 52, a main spindle head 53, a table 54, a pallet placing base 63 and a pallet exchanging device 11, the main spindle head 53 and the table 54 being adapted for relative movement in orthogonal three axes directions, wherein a chip-conveyor 10 for conveying processing shavings is disposed such that its conveying path is positioned below the processing area A and below the operating area B. The processing shavings formed in the processing area A and those taken out of the processing area A to the operating area B are collected in the chip- conveyor 10, which conveys and discharges the shavings out of the machine.</p> |
