PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding apparatus having a short cycle time, capable of being reduced in energy consumption and maintenance cost and capable of efficiently manufacturing a small-sized part. SOLUTION: The auxiliary cylinder 137 attached to a lower mold 142 through an attaching member 137a is operated to raise the lower mold 142 upwardly and a mold driving cylinder 131 is operated to advance a drive shaft 131b and a mold driving cam 132 is revolved while slid along a drive guide surface 136c to push up the lower mold 142 from below. The mold driving cam 132 is positioned in a posture not further revolved by the shape of the drive guide surface 136c. Thereafter, a mold clamping cylinder 134 is operated to retract a drive part 134a to revolve a mold driving lever 136 counterclockwise centering around the axial line of a revolving shaft 135 and, therefore, the mold driving cam 132 is pressed upwardly by a mold clamping lever 136.
