PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer printing on both a continuous form and a slip sheet in which a discharged continuous form can be taken out easily and the inserting face of a slip sheet can be made long. SOLUTION: In the inventive printer 10, the housing 20 has an opening 21 for throwing in a roll sheet P on the upper surface side and a section 22 for containing the roll sheet P is provided therein. A cover 30 opens/closes the throw-in opening 21 and the front side of the upper surface thereof serves as a plane 31 for inserting a slip sheet S. At one side edge of the slip sheet inserting plane 31, a slip sheet guide 32 is formed along the inserting direction of the slip sheet S. An opening 25 for discharging the roll sheet P is formed by a gap at the abutting part of the housing 20 and the forward end of the cover 30 when the cover 30 is closed and it is located lower than the slip sheet inserting plane 31. Furthermore, a slip sheet print section 60 is provided on the rear side of the upper surface of the cover 30.
