PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save resources in an image-recording apparatus having at least a printer function and a copy function. SOLUTION: A controller 24 stores into a memory 20 tray-setting information indicating at least a backing paper tray from a module 18 for copying. When a received printing job is a double face job, it is judged with reference to the tray-setting information whether or not a paper feed source tray designated by the printing job is the backing paper tray. When the paper feed source tray is the backing paper tray, a start command for the printing job to the module 18 for copying is stopped. In the other cases, starting the printing job is ordered to the module 18 for copying. When starting the printing job, the module 18 for copying notifies a machine management device 32 of information on the job. The machine management device 32 totals the number of output sheets of monochromic/color images for every plain paper/backing paper. A charging device 34 applies a discount charge when the backing paper is used and calculates charges corresponding to the number of output sheets. |
