SOLUTION: The tank body of the septic tank (for example, an upper tank body 4) has a flange part 44 which is connected to another tank body (for example, a lower tank body 6) and formed so as to protrude toward the outside. The flange part 44 is made of a polynorbornene resin so that the thickness of the flange part 44 increases gradually from the main body of the tank body T1 to the tip end T2 of the flange part. This tank body of the septic tank can be preferably used as a domestic septic tank for treating the sewage of 5-10 persons, and the like.
