PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus by which a spout can be washed not only at its outer periphery but also at its front-end face in a process of bagging employing packaging bag equipped with a spout. SOLUTION: A housing 40 is movable upward and downward and has a hole 50 at its lower part. A nozzle body 47 is movable upward and downward against the housing and urged toward the hole 50 with a spring 54 so as to close the hole 50 with a head 49 at its lower end. A pit 51 is formed at the nozzle body and the pit can be shifted to communicate with a compressed air source 57. A center nozzle hole 52 extending downward and a radially-shaped nozzle hole 53 extending outwardly downward are connected to the lower end of the pit. A wash liquid from a wash liquid tank 60 is supplied under pressure to the inside of the housing. As the housing is lowered, the front end of the head is fitted into an opening at the front end of a spout 103 and closes tightly the opening. The front end face 117 is exposed. The radially-shaped nozzle hole is positioned at the outside of the opening. The housing moves downward slightly even after the nozzle body comes into contact with the spout, letting the hole 50 at the lower part of the housing open. Air is ejected from the center nozzle hole and the radially-shaped nozzle hole, and the wash liquid is ejected from the hole 50.
