PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal with a transfer function by which a user can recognize contents of a facsimile document to some degree at a visit place (transfer destination) even when a unit at the visit place is portable telephone or the like that can only receive a voice. SOLUTION: When the communication terminal receives a communication, the terminal detects the caller number (ST1, ST2), and stores the received image in a memory (ST5). When a caller is registered caller, the terminal transmits a conversation reservation request signal to the caller (ST6, ST7), when a reply comes from the caller (ST8), a message of 'Please wait for a moment' is sent (ST9), a line is hooked, a transfer destination telephone number is redialed (ST10, ST11), and when a reply comes from the transfer destination, a message to urge a speech of the caller is transmitted (ST13).
