PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature detecting device for a camera which does not require a dedicated temperature sensing element. SOLUTION: This temperature detecting device utilizes a CPU 2 controlling the operation of a camera in accordance with temperature and a transistor 1 used for the operation of the camera. The CPU 2 is provided with a means for energizing the transistor 1, a means for fetching voltage Vbe between the base and the emitter of the energized transistor 1, and a means for reading the temperature in accordance with the fetched voltage. By using the transistor 1 used for the operation of the camera to detect the temperature, a diode dedicated to temperature detection is made unnecessary. |
