PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery that enables to connect and fix steadily the current collector with connecting members such as a terminal connecting member 6 or a positive electrode 1a and the manufacturing method of the battery. SOLUTION: The convex joining portions 4b, 6b having a widening top end are formed by pressing process by laying the connecting portion 6a of a terminal connecting member 6 that is connected and fixed with a terminal 3 on the connecting portion 4a of a current collector 4 and then connected and fixed. And a convex is formed on another metal plate which is disposed opposed to the U shape portion of the corrugated iron sheet 4e provided in the current collector 4, and is connected and fixed by supersonic welding from the direction of the metal plate by interposing the plural sheets of positive electrodes 1a of the battery element 1 in this U shape portion.
