FORM ANALYZER TARGETING ON TOPOLOGY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the conventional analyzers that the stable and general form comparing technology of a three-dimensional (3D) object is almost nonexistent. SOLUTION: A form analyzer 10 inputs the 3D data of an object. A point set generator 14 sets points to be concerned on the 3D data. A Morse code evaluator detects the Morse code values of these points and corresponding to the result, an MRG generator 18 generates the phase graph of multiple resolution. A Morse function is defined to be invariant with respect to the geometrical operation of the object, and closeness in forms between objects is calculated regardless of the attitude of the object.
