In the automatic changespeed control of the parent Specification wherein gear change relays are energized in one direction only by an output driven generator in opposition to differing fixed voltages and the throttle is temporarily closed during gear change by a relay G, a winding 1 of which is energized by discharge of a capacitor 6 charged, through a resistor 7, by a battery or other D.C. supply 4, 5, a substantially constant relay energization period, irrespective of variations in supply voltage, is effected by connecting across the supply 4, 5 and through a suitable resistance 3 an opposing secondary relay winding 2 having fewer turns than the winding 1. |
