<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the complete fixing of a rotor magnet onto a rotor yoke and the highly precise detection of one index signal per one turn of the rotor yoke. SOLUTION: In this spindle motor rotor, the flange section 3a of the rotor yoke 3 constructing a spindle motor is formed with window sections 9, 10 at a plurality of positions. Part of an annular rotor magnet 8 fitted into the inner periphery of the flange section 3a is integrally formed with protruding sections 8a, 8b protruding outwards through the respective window sections 9, 10. The rotor magnet 8 is thermally welded to the rotor yoke 3 at the protruding sections 8a, 8b. One protruding section 8b is provided at a section lying astride the N-pole and S-pole of the rotor magnet 8.</p> |
