PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detecting apparatus capable of detecting abnormality. SOLUTION: In this liquid detecting apparatus, light is radially emitted from a projecting part 50, so that a light receiving part 51 detects light whether a liquid L exists between the projecting parts 50 and 51 or not. By the lens effect of the liquid L, the received light intensity of the light receiving part 51 is varied with the existence and absence of the liquid L, and when the liquid L is absent, the received light intensity of the light receiving part 51 becomes low. When abnormality occurs, the received light intensity of the light receiving part 51 becomes lower than that in the case of no liquid L. When it is determined by the comparator 2 that the received light intensity of the light receiving part 51 is lower than a second reference value, an abnormality detecting signal is output. |
