PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the abrasion detecting plate from interfering with a protection boot or the like in replacing a friction pad, and to set abrasion detecting sound at a proper level. SOLUTION: The abrasion detecting plate 17 for a lining 12 is provided on a back plate 11 of the friction pad 10 on the outer side. A fixing plate part 17A of this abrasion detecting plate 17 is fixed on the front surface 11A of the back plate 11 for fixedly attaching the lining 12. A U-shaped folded plate part 17B is provided in the fixing plate part 17A of the abrasion detecting plate 17, and this U-shaped folded plate part 17B is inserted into a detecting plate insertion hole 16 provided in the back plate 11.
