The emergency window has a frame(10) which has a slot(14) with several cut-outs(15) with which correspond claw-form protrusions(31) formed on the window mounting(30). To connect the protrusions to the window mounting a strip(70) is provided to fit in the slot in the frame. The window pane is constructed as an insulating glass pane and on the end face is stepped. The window pane mounting has an elastic enclosure profile and the mounting frame has a shoulder for it.
