The invention comprises a hair feeder and a device for seizing and guiding the hair. The hair feeder comprises a V-shaped container (1), which moves lengthwise and has several openings (4) for receiving hair (2). A feed needle (3) moves longitudinally across the container and is guided through a guide tube (5). It rotates, can be replaced and is moved in and out of a lateral opening in the container in such a way that hair can be pulled out of over the area of a fixing device (6,7).
