PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge rod works having different diameters, placed overlapping one another in parallel, without disordering their attitude. SOLUTION: The hopper device for the rod works comprises a conveyor belt 11 arranged at the bottom of a hopper 2, where a number of rod works 1 are stored overlapping one another in parallel, so as to be intermittently driven to a discharge port and a work thrusting plate 13 to be moved with the intermittent movement of the conveyor belt for thrusting the works at their rear ends in the hopper.
