摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which can be recorded in a high packing density. SOLUTION: This recording medium comprises a multilayer constitution having at least lower protective layer, phase change type optical recording layer, upper protective layer and a reflecting layer on a board. In this case, the phase change type layer contains a composition of Zn&alpha;In&beta;M&chi;Sb&delta;Te&epsi;, where M indicates Sn, Ge, Si, or Pb, 0.01<&alpha;<0.1, 0.001<&beta;<0.1, 0.01<&chi;<0.1, 0.5<&delta;<0.7, 0.25<&epsi;<0.4, 0.03<=&beta;+&chi;<0.15, &alpha;+&beta;+&chi;+&delta;+&epsi;=1. Its crystal state is in an unrecording state, and an amorphous state is in a recording state. And, amorphous bits can be lap written by modulation of light intensities of at least binary values of strong and weak intensities.
