摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the facility cost and the installation space, to realize the efficient operation of a forging apparatus, and to reduce the manufacturing cost of a forging by performing the hot forging and the cold forging while using one set of the forging apparatus by changing the ratio of the pressing speed to the forging speed. SOLUTION: The forging apparatus 10 comprises a fixed part 12 and a movable part 14. The movable part 14 has an upper die set 34 provided with a cylinder chamber 36 comprising a first cylinder chamber 36a and a second cylinder chamber 36b, and a first piston 38 and a second piston 40 are disposed in the first cylinder chamber 36a and the second cylinder chamber 36b, respectively. By changing the ratio of the bearing area S1 of the first piston 38 to the bearing area S2 of the second piston 40, the hot forging and the cold forging can be performed by using one set of the forging apparatus 10.
