PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing a landfill site by which quality of water of a leachate can be stabilized in its early stages and the period from starting of landfill to its close can be shortened. SOLUTION: Before waste is fed into the landfill site, it is pretreated and by washing the waste having been finely ground in a grinding process 1 with water or an organic solvent in a mechanical washing process 2, organic substances, heavy metals and dioxins in the waste are eluted into a cleaning fluid and washed articles after the mechanical washing are fed into the landfill site and solid-liquid separation of waste water of cleaning is performed in a separating and removing process 3 and solid substances after the solid-liquid separation are fed into the landfill site and water treatment of supernatant liquid is performed in a leachate treating facility.
