PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversing device for a disc-shaped work piece capable of reversing the heavy disc-shaped work piece without using a crane and scratching the work piece and without a problem on safety of a worker. SOLUTION: This reversing device for the disc-shaped work piece W is composed of a work piece rotary body 2 for holding and rotating the disc-shaped work piece W, and a rotary body holding and driving device 3 for holding and rotating the work piece rotary body 2.
