PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save an installation space by minimizing the distance between a pretreating process and a drying process in a conveying apparatus having a difference in height between the work conveying path of the pretreating process and that of the drying process. SOLUTION: A turning around body for supporting a rail Y, which is provided with a pair of upper and lower work conveying paths Hd, Hu for connection, is installed between a work conveying path Ha of the pretreating process A such as an electrocoating and a work conveying process Hc of the drying process C placed at higher position than that of the pretreating process A so that the turn around body Y can achieve a 180 degree turn centered at a center axis. When a work W conveyed by a carrier G comes to the lower conveying path Hd through the work conveying path Ha of the pretreating process A, the turning around body for supporting a rail Y achieves 180 degree turn on the face perpendicular to the conveying path and the work conveying path Hd is connected to the work conveying path Hc so that the work W may be fed to the drying process C.
