The face of the dam module (1) is a frame (2) which has two legs (3, 4) and transverse top bar (12). Set into slots (8) on the legs are steel plates (10). The plates are concave to absorb wave energy. Both legs are attached to a rear anchor block (7) by steel rods (5) which are fixed to the rear of the frame legs.
