PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally control exposure and to obtain high-quality image without causing dispersion due to the long-term use of a process cartridge and the difference of the production lot thereof by obtaining the exact use amount of the photoreceptor of the process cartridge with simple and inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: This process cartridge B freely attached to/detached from an image forming device main body A includes a photosensitive drum 3 and a developing device 4 or the like, and has a storage means 20. History information such as the total driving time t 1 and total voltage applying time t2 of the drum 3 and individual information such as the production lot are stored as information on the cartridge in the storage means 20. In the case of forming the image, the main body A side reads out the information and arithmetically calculates the use amount T of the drum 3 by an expression T=k1×t1+k2×t2+α (k1, k2 and α are constants peculiar to the production lot and the kind of the photosensitive drum), obtains the appropriate exposure E from the use amount T in a conversion table and controls the exposure. |
