PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the problem that a magnify power cannot be varied for a certain type of recording paper when a sub-scan motor covering widely used variable power ranging from one fourth to four times is used in a scanner of a copying machine which varies a processing speed in accordance with a type of recording paper. SOLUTION: The processing speed, at which a visible image is formed and fixed by carrying recording paper according to a toner image fixing time set in accordance with the type of the material of the recording paper or in accordance with the type of an image to be formed, is controlled independently of a reading speed at which image data from a memory 205 for temporarily storing supplied image data is read. |
